Questions & answers

What happens when my free trial ends?
Your account automatically moves to the Free plan. You keep your first artist and up to 5 releases. Nothing is deleted — you just lose access to Pro features like ReleaseLink pages, Artist Pages, and schema generation until you upgrade.
What counts as an "artist"?
An artist is any musical act you manage in Release Registry — a solo project, band, DJ alias, production name, duo, or collective. Each one gets its own page, releases, and catalog. If you release music under two names, that's two artists.
What types of musicians is this for?
Release Registry is built for independent artists, bands, DJs, producers, duos, collectives — anyone who releases recorded music and wants to keep it organized. If you have tracks on streaming platforms, this is for you.
What is an Artist Page?
Your Artist Page is a public profile at rrdb.page/your-name. It shows your bio, discography, links, and credits in one clean page. Think of it as your music homepage — great for press kits, EPKs, and sharing your full catalog.
What is a ReleaseLink page?
A ReleaseLink is a smart landing page for a single release at rrdb.link/s/your-release. It lists all your streaming links, credits, and metadata in one place. Share one link instead of seven. It also includes structured data for Google.
Will I lose my data if I downgrade?
No. Your data is never deleted. If you move to Free, your extra artists and releases are still in the system — they're just hidden until you upgrade again. We don't hold your catalog hostage.
Can I transfer my catalog if I cancel?
Yes. You can export your full metadata at any time. We believe your data belongs to you. Export includes track details, credits, ISRC codes, platform links, and everything else you've entered.
Can I change plans later?
Yes. Upgrade, downgrade, or switch between monthly and annual at any time. Changes take effect immediately. If you upgrade mid-cycle, you're only charged the prorated difference.
What's your refund policy?
We offer a full refund within 14 days of any payment, no questions asked. After that, you can cancel anytime and your plan stays active until the end of the billing period.
Why do I need this if I already have a distributor?
Distributors get your music onto platforms. Release Registry organizes everything around it — credits, splits, links, press materials, recognition tracking, and your public presence. Think of it as the system of record your distributor doesn't provide.
